Sylfirm X
실펌X · also: 실펌, RP microneedling RF, 선택적 혈관 치료
Microneedling radiofrequency with a pulse mode designed to act selectively on abnormal vessels and overactive pigment cells. That selectivity is why it's used for melasma and redness — conditions where most energy treatments risk rebound pigmentation.
This breaks the skin or carries vascular/systemic risk, so a medical intake is required before treatment.
How it works
Insulated microneedles deliver RF into the dermis in two modes. The continuous-wave mode does conventional tightening and scar work; the repeated ultra-short pulse mode is the distinctive one, targeting abnormal vasculature and the basement membrane while regulating hyperactive melanocytes. Strengthening that epidermis-dermis boundary is central to why it can improve melasma rather than aggravate it.
Microneedling RF · acts at 0.3–4 mm · deepest layer: Dermis
Where collagen and elastin live. Almost every 'skin quality' treatment is aimed here.
Depths are indicative and vary by device, cartridge, body area and individual.
Microneedling RF
Fine insulated needles place radiofrequency energy under the surface, so the dermis is remodelled while the epidermis is largely spared.

What it does
- ✓Melasma improvement
- ✓Less redness and flushing
- ✓Smaller pores
- ✓Firmer texture
Good for you if
- •Melasma and stubborn pigmentation
- •Rosacea and persistent redness
- •Sensitive skin that reacts to lasers
- •Pores plus pigment together
Aftercare
- ✓Expect sunburn-like redness for 1–3 days; use bland moisturiser and nothing active.
- ✓Strict daily SPF 50+ — this matters more than the treatment itself for melasma.
- ✓No saunas, hot yoga or steam for 48 hours; heat is a melasma trigger.
- ✓Pause retinoids and acids for about a week either side.
Not suitable if
- !Pacemaker or implanted electronic device.
- !Pregnancy — and note that pregnancy-related melasma often improves on its own.
- !Active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area.
- !Isotretinoin use — most clinics want a gap of several months.
- !A recent tan; treating tanned skin invites pigment problems.
FAQ
Why is this recommended for melasma when lasers often aren't?
Melasma frequently rebounds worse after aggressive heat or light. Sylfirm X's short-pulse mode is designed to act on the abnormal vessels and the basement membrane rather than blasting pigment, which is why it's become a mainstay for a condition that punishes the usual approach. It still requires a cautious operator.
Will melasma come back?
Very likely, to some degree. Melasma is chronic and driven by sun, heat and hormones. Anyone promising to cure it permanently is overselling. Plan on maintenance and daily sunscreen.
How much downtime?
Redness like mild sunburn peaking in the first 24 hours, then settling over one to three days. A treatment on Friday is usually presentable by Monday.
Can I fit a course into one trip?
No. Sessions are about four weeks apart, so a full course means repeat visits or a long stay. One session gives partial improvement — commonly cited as 20–30% of pigment in a single pass.
