Skinvive
스킨바이브 · also: Skinvive by Juvederm, HA microdroplet injection
Hyaluronic acid placed as tiny microdroplets inside the skin rather than as a deposit underneath it. It changes nothing about your face's shape — it improves how the skin itself looks, and it's the first HA product approved specifically for cheek skin smoothness rather than volume.
A short questionnaire and dose mapping — usually done the same day, right before treatment.
How it works
A fine needle deposits many small amounts of a low-viscosity HA gel within the dermis. Because it's spread thin and shallow, it holds water in the skin and improves surface quality without adding contour anywhere. That intradermal placement — not the ingredient — is what separates it from a conventional filler.
Intradermal injection · acts at 0.5–1.5 mm · deepest layer: Dermis
Where collagen and elastin live. Almost every 'skin quality' treatment is aimed here.
Depths are indicative and vary by device, cartridge, body area and individual.
Intradermal injection
Many small, shallow deposits spread across the treatment area — placed within the skin rather than under it, so nothing changes shape.

Not all "Skinvive" is the same — the specific brand or machine changes the price and the feel. Common options in Korea:
Hyaluronic acid injected as intradermal microdroplets. Unlike a filler it adds no volume or shape — it is approved specifically to improve cheek skin smoothness, and it is the first HA product to carry that indication.
Who asks for it: Recognised by US and European patients who know it from home, which is much of its appeal in Seoul.

FAQ
Is this just an expensive water-glow injection?
Mechanically it's close — both are HA delivered shallowly for hydration. The differences are the specific product, the regulatory approval for cheek smoothness, and the price. If brand certainty matters to you it's worth it; if it doesn't, Korean HA boosters deliver a similar effect for much less.
Will it make my face bigger?
No. It's placed within the skin, not under it, and it's approved on the basis of skin smoothness rather than volume.
What does it look like straight afterwards?
Small bumps at each injection point for a few hours to a day, and occasional pinpoint bruises. It's not a same-morning-before-an-event treatment.

Before you compare quotes: what this price is actually per
- Injectables are sold per cc. One cc is a small syringe; most full-face plans need 2–8 cc, so multiply before comparing.
Priced per cc (₩350k in one Seoul list), and being an Allergan import it sits well above Korean HA boosters that do a broadly similar job for a third of the price. What you're paying the premium for is the brand and the specific approval, not a different mechanism.
Won prices quoted above are from a dated reference price list for one Seoul clinic chain (2026-07-24), used to show the shape of pricing — not a national average, and not a quote. Prices include 10% VAT: the foreign-patient cosmetic VAT refund ended on 31 December 2025.
