How it works

Delivers monopolar RF heat to the dermis to contract and rebuild collagen across the treated area, similar in principle to Thermage at a lower per-session cost.

Treatment depth — 1–3 mmSkin cross-section from the surface to 12 mm deep. Monopolar radiofrequency acts from 1 to 3 mm below the surface, reaching the Dermis at its deepest. Radio waves warm a broad volume of the dermis at once while the surface is actively cooled, so collagen contracts and regrows.13 mmSkin surface0 mm24681012Epidermis · 0–0.2 mmDermis · 0.2–3 mmSMAS · 4.5–6 mmFat layer · 3–8 mmMuscle · 6–12 mm

FAQ

Oligio or Thermage?

Same monopolar RF principle at a much lower price. Thermage has the longer clinical record and generally the stronger single-session result; Oligio and its Korean peers deliver a meaningful part of that for far less, which is why they dominate Korean menus. Newer models add dual depth modes.

What are the dual modes for?

Upgraded versions treat the upper and lower dermis separately — a deeper, stronger mode for structural heating and a gentler surface mode. Sessions can be tuned to your skin rather than run at one setting.

How long does it last?

About 12 months, so most people repeat annually. Cheaper per session than Thermage but usually shorter-lived.

Does it hurt?

Moderate warmth, and the newer versions cool more aggressively than the originals. Most people find it easier than HIFU.

Before you compare quotes: what this price is actually per

per shot
  • Ultrasound lifting is sold in shots (lines of energy). 100 shots treats a small area; a full face is usually 300–600. Compare price ÷ shots, never the headline.

Per shot, at roughly a sixth of Thermage's per-shot price — ₩250k per 100 shots in one Seoul list, with an eye-specific tip at ₩270k. A full face is 300–600 shots, so the comparison that matters is total shots × price, not the headline.

Won prices quoted above are from a dated reference price list for one Seoul clinic chain (2026-07-24), used to show the shape of pricing — not a national average, and not a quote. Prices include 10% VAT: the foreign-patient cosmetic VAT refund ended on 31 December 2025.
