Body Slimming Injections
바디 지방분해주사 · also: SS주사, 슬림컷, 조각주사, body lipolysis, 미니스커트주사
Injections aimed at reducing localised body fat on arms, thighs, calves and abdomen. They're cheap, extremely common on Korean menus, and the honest headline is that the formulas are not standardised — what's in the syringe varies clinic to clinic, and so does the evidence behind it.
This breaks the skin or carries vascular/systemic risk, so a medical intake is required before treatment.
How it works
Most blends aim to disrupt fat-cell membranes or drive lipolysis, breaking triglycerides down into fatty acids and glycerol for the body to clear. Typical ingredients include phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid, often combined with anti-inflammatories, drainage agents and vitamins. Beyond that, formulations are proprietary — clinics describe them as house recipes and generally don't publish the contents.
Fat-layer injection · acts at 5–25 mm · deepest layer: Fat layer
Subcutaneous fat. Volume, contour, and the target of fat-reducing treatments.
Scale extended to 25 mm — this treatment goes deeper than the facial-skin reference. Depths are indicative and vary by device, cartridge, body area and individual.
Fat-layer injection
Placed into the subcutaneous fat, where the solution acts on fat-cell membranes.

FAQ
Do these actually work?
For small, localised fat pockets, a course can produce a modest measurable reduction. They are not a weight-loss treatment and won't reshape a whole limb. Expect a subtle change over weeks, and be sceptical of before-and-after photos suggesting otherwise.
What's actually being injected?
Often not disclosed. Most clinics describe a proprietary blend of five to ten ingredients. Deoxycholic acid is the one component with a regulator-approved cosmetic precedent (for submental fat); the rest varies. It is completely reasonable to ask for the ingredient list and whether the product is MFDS-approved, and a straight answer is a good sign.
Is it safe?
In trained hands with approved products, generally yes. But regulators including the US FDA have warned about unapproved fat-dissolving injections causing scarring and infection, and because these formulas aren't standardised, the clinic matters more here than for almost anything else on the menu.
How much does it hurt afterwards?
More than people expect. Swelling, tenderness, bruising and firm lumps for several days to two weeks are normal, and treated areas can be sore to touch. Don't schedule it right before a beach day.
Price range by care tier
Market ranges for reference — actual quotes depend on the clinic, doctor and area.
Before you compare quotes: what this price is actually per
- Injectables are sold per cc. One cc is a small syringe; most full-face plans need 2–8 cc, so multiply before comparing.
- A flat per-visit price. The thing to check is how many visits the full course needs.
Two incompatible units on the same menu, which makes comparison hard: some blends are sold per cc (₩37k per 10 cc, or ₩195k for 300 cc in one Seoul list) and area-specific injections at a flat per-session rate (around ₩130k–170k). A body area can need 50–300 cc per visit, so a low per-cc price tells you very little about the session cost.
- Compression garments, where recommended
- Follow-up sessions in the course
Won prices quoted above are from a dated reference price list for one Seoul clinic chain (2026-07-24), used to show the shape of pricing — not a national average, and not a quote. Prices include 10% VAT: the foreign-patient cosmetic VAT refund ended on 31 December 2025.
